Hi Friends! Ah sorry for the G&G post delays - I've been trying to balance it out and to be completely honest life has been a little crazy at the moment. I recently found out I'm making the move from
NYC to Houston at the end of the month. At first I was completely shocked (all the mixed feelings) and this is definitely one of those unexpected life moments - but I guess at this point I can say that unplanned adventures seem to enjoy finding me lol (I mean that is how I ended up in NYC to begin with). I'm really excited for this new chapter in my life and being much closer to loved ones and friends in my home state. I'll continue my work in retail and also bring back all the wonderful memories of my second home here in the city. As for my NYC family here, I'll save my sappy I LOVE NEW YORK comments for another post. Don't worry details to come and it's all in the works, sneak peek of a
special photo shoot here :)
Ok sooo with the month of June in progress (ah how are we in June already?) I wanted to share a little accessory inspiration. Feeling that inner
Blair Waldorf, I did a style collaboration with my friends at
Perfectly Pearl. I wanted to highlight this month's
birthstone - the pearl. These chunky pearl layers were so much fun to style and play with. The different pastel hues really pop with this classic navy number. My look is on the dressier side but sometimes dressing up a little is a great mood boost when you're feeling a little slumpy or need feel like YAS time to get things done! I found this cute cold shoulder dress at
Macy's last month. The trending ruffled sleeves fall and move beautifully and I got a great deal on it too under $50 (juniors dept). Thinking I'll save this outfit for a new first week at work outfit or date night - AH because now I can have actual normal weekly date nights (haiii Chayson).
Any June birthday girls out there?
Perfectly Pearl has you covered in gifting. As mentioned before, the pricing is such a great value and I love all the different pieces (both
classic and
your not so basic styles). There's a pearl for every girl - Check out my
previous post HERE.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Governors Ball Music festival was on my to do list this past Friday and Saturday. My friend
Angela and I have made it a summer tradition and this year was another one for the books haha. The music was great (love you Lorde) butttt we also always seem to have a lot of fun in the foodie/sips scene. I was able to finally check
Do Cookie Dough,
Mr. Dips,
Robertas Pizza, and
Momofuku Cookies off the farewell hit list. YEP hitting the gym/ChefV kitchen pretty hard these next few days. Today is a busy day of festival recovery, putting apartment furniture on the market, and planning out my week. I'll be headed to Houston this weekend to look for apartments and I'm really excited to find my new home (stay tuned on
InstaSnaps/Snapchat). I think it'll start to feel a little more official once I have this covered. Making the absolute most of these next few weeks that is for sure! Any fun NYC favorite to dos? Send them my way!
