OK - It was bound to happen. Take #2. Lets just say I may have completed this post once before and it did not save. Don't worry it's even better now haha Continuing on...It's that time of year again - Spring Festival Season! Coachella week is upon us (week 2) and although I have not attended (added to the ToDos lol) I do love seeing everyone's festival-ready styles. I know y'all go for the music, but the fashion/instas keep everyone at home entertained. I swear the snapchat Coachella stories are like a black hole once you start on them haha. SO beware.
So I am in the process of working on a true G&G festival look post - There are so many different style routes you can go - Boho Chic, Western Inspired, Gypsy Princess, or even Quirky TieDye. Honestly anything goes at these things lol. Since I will not be in Cali this weekend, I decided to post a look we shot from my LA trip in March. Feeling that flower child vibe with this floral jumper (love this style). Minus the chunky heels (need ALL day comfy festival shoes) I might wear a floral romper/jumpsuit and fringe flat sandals. I cannot tell you guys how much I love jumpsuits these days. They are the best instant outfits, especially ones with built in bra tops - Even better! A little awk in the public bathroom situation but hey one single outfit piece = less to think about. Since most of my Spring closet is home to crochet, tassels/fringe, and peasant tops I usually I go with more of a Boho Chic style and try to work with what I have. Adding in flower crowns, belts, and statement jewels are great festival outfit additions as well.
One of my favorite Vloggers Tess Christine did such a great roundup of festival looks here - All of them are so different but still tie in a main theme. Really loving her third look with the western belt and black slit skirt. Great inspo for my new belt I recently bought here. Who knows maybe I'll go back to my western Texas roots this time.
Riding that NoChella train like myself? It's totally fine because it's Spring and that is the prime time for a festival. Since living in NYC, my go to music festival has been Governors Ball. It's always such a great time and starts in June so I have some time to put together my look ideas. The lineup is good and the food trucks are even bettaaaa haha. Spring time is not just for music festivals but food, art, fitness, flowers...you name it there usually is usually a Spring event built around it. I have a few fun plans on my list and I am so ready for sunshine and outdoor activities. This whole last week has been beyond gorgeous outside and everyone is VERY excited about this, including myself. Last Tuesday I was able to get my downtown morning run going again and I even wore a dress. Yes and not freezing for a photoshoot but actually to work. Love seeing everyone's fun Spring looks here in the city. Hoping everyone is having a great week!
