There's a Party on 5th Ave - Topshop

Grand openings for shiny 5th Ave flagship stores are not a bad way to spend your lunch break. I decided to stop by the Topshop grand opening on 5th Ave and 49th street. Let me tell you, this store is not messing around. I've seen some extreme marketing for it all week (month) along with Cara Delevingne and Beyonce promoting the brand. With those two on board it's bound to be a success. Inspired by British High Street fashion, New Yorkers can now have access to the second largest Topshop Flagship store. The largest is the London Flagship store measuring over a mere 90,000 square feet. Ya.

I arrived JUST as the countdown to cutting the ribbon began. I was lucky enough to be one of the first 50 people to shop the store. The best way to describe this grand reveal is alive. Everyone was so excited to see the store and of course see IT girl Miss Cara Delevingne. As the face of Topshops A/W 2014 Collection, Cara greeted everyone and even snapped a few of her iconic selfies with a few lucky onlookers.

Here are a few of my snap highlights :)

Let the countdown begin!

Finally open! About to go in eek

Of course a party need some bumpin jamz.
Topshop owner Sir Philip Green also made an appearance
SO MANY SHOES. 3rd floor, you gotta check it out.

After encountering complete sensory overload (free manis, press cameras flashing, every Topshop collection, 3 floors of madness) I could not leave empty handed! Soo I picked up one of the Limited Edition tops exclusive to the 5th Ave store. I'm obsessed with the feather and lace detail. It's definitely something I do not have in my closet. I'm telling you, it's all about the feathers and fringe! My new top is similar to this pretty little thing I saw a few days ago online HERE. I loved it, but not the price...this was a much better option. Paired with a sequin bottom (like this) would be a great way to give this look a glitzy holiday touch. It'll be a fun piece to style...so many options.

If any of you are in the NYC area, take a trip to 608 Fifth Avenue. You will absolutely love it. Happy shopping Topshop ladies and gents.
