"You know you love me xoxo" -Gossip Girl
Ok so yes anyone who knows me knows this has been my favorite show of all time...I have been watching GG for the past 6 years and I am sad to see it go. The big city, beautiful people, fashion, plotting, and scheming have kept my attention for quite some time. My sister has recently become a fan and loves watching the past seasons as well...I knew she would get into it haha I have to say Blair and Nate are my two favorite characters...So much attractiveness!
I was SO excited to find a Gossip Girl tour on my trip to New York. It was through a company called Screen Tours and took us to all the major spots that were used in the show in the Upper East side area of NYC. I was kind of freaking out seeing all the sights and my sister and I had a wonderful time. Our tour guide Sammi was adorable and we knew a lot of the behind the scenes facts.
We saw...
- Grand Central Station to see where Serena returned to NYC in the very first episode
- Passed the Vera Wang boutique where Blair tried on her wedding gown
- The Palace Hotel-Chuck and Serena's home
- Shopped at the candy store where Dan helped Vanessa shop for her anniversary
- Constance Billard & St. Jude's schools
- Lunch on the Met Steps
- Visited The Empire Hotel, site of Chuck Bass’ newest home and business
- Henri Bendel where Blair and Serena shop
The Palace Hotel's Grand Ball Room was beautiful! One of the doormen asked us if we were on the tour (gee wonder why) and took us to the ball room. He was so nice and was more than happy to take pictures of us. He told us all about the filming atmosphere and how it was working around a TV crew all day. It seemed like a chaotic environment trying to keep people from coming in during film hours.

It was interesting that they used three different locations for Constance Billard School for Girls...this is the front of it and is actually a museum!
Definitely one of my favorite outfits! |
Ah yes the classic met steps pose.
Then it was off to the home of Chuck Bass...
The Empire Hotel was gorgeous! I would love to stay here...everything was so luxurious and how else do I say this...but it was very Chuck Bass ;)
My hours were spent here by Mr. Bass...Scotch please haha
My sister and I had fun at Henri Bendel. We felt it was only appropriate we buy headbands of course! I found these two below. Now I am not much of a headband wearer, but I think these will actually go with most of my things. I'll give the Blair Waldorf look a try one of these days.
The leather one is so cute!
Our lovely tour ended at Grand Central Station..where the entire show begins. I had so much fun and I am so glad my sis and I were able to go! I was worried that with my schedule it wouldn't fit but luckily it all worked out. It was fun to pretend to be Upper East Siders for a day...
xoxo
